Marimba Time / Rohwer

Here we have five practice pieces in different keys and time signatures for slightly advanced students who already have a certain fluency and overview on the instrument and are looking for varied material. You can find the time signatures 4/4 and 3/4 as well as a very freely timed piece in 4/4 time; the keys are C, Bb and D. The pieces are written to suit the instrument and are well suited to practicing a technical theme (double stops in a certain interval, vortex, ostinato versus moving melody, rubato). If necessary, all pieces can also be played on a C marimba, the few B, B and A can be octave. The class prelude to the competition is more likely to be a possible venue for the presentation.
