Stefan G. Schmid

(Born 1954) After tapping and conducting an entire concert by the local brass band at the age of 12, the conductor asked him if he would like to learn to play the drums. In this band he was the only drummer to play all the performances and concerts after just one year of lessons.
After graduating from school, he first trained as a Bundeswehr musician (classical percussion) at the Robert Schumann Academy of Music in Düsseldorf / Hilden and then studied modern drums at the School of Percussion in London. While still a student, he began working in the studio, performing concerts and touring with many well-known stars across Europe and the world. He had the opportunity to perform in famous halls such as the Royal Albert Hall (London), Carnegie Hall (NY), Sejong Hall (Seoul), Olympia Hall (Munich) etc.

Today he trains at the city. Sing- und Musikschule Landsberg am Lech from ensembles and soloists who have already achieved considerable success through their wide-ranging professional and educational commitment. He is also a sought-after juror at various competitions. Stefan G. Schmid lives with his family in the beautiful Bavarian village of Hurlach.
