Simon Lessing

Born in Halle-Saale in 1990, he studied from 2009-2016 at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig with Marek Stefula and Andreas Haase, classical drums.
During this time he was a substitute for the Musical Comedy (MuKo) Leipzig, an academic in the Czech Philharmonic and an intern at the Leipzig Opera. In 2015 he went public for the first time with his own compositions and received a scholarship from the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Leipzig eV Foundation. Since August 2016 he has been the principal timpanist of the Dresden State Operetta
