Lars Weber

(Born 1976), swapped pots for real drums at the age of 10 and attended the music school in Spremberg.
Then quickly played in various bands from metal to rock to soul and jazz.
After studying music education at the HL Cottbus, he discovered his love for tuned percussion instruments.
He is particularly fond of the marimba and a master class with Ney Rosauro follows.
Since 2002 he has worked as a teacher at the music school in Finsterwalde, and founded the percussion ensemble, the "Weberknechte", which quickly achieved first successes at the national level with "Jugend Musiziert".
The pedagogical work inspired him for his first compositions.
As a musician he is with the band Zollfrei as well as with the marimba in different line-ups.
