Jan Tobias Wehrle

Jan Tobias Wehrle began to express himself on a wide variety of musical instruments in his early childhood and thus found his love for music.
Soon he took over organ and drum engagements. In 2010, when he was tutored by Nils Rohwer, he won 2nd prize at the national youth music competition in the mallets category on the marimba.
In 2016 he completed his music and pedagogy studies at the University of Music and Theater and the University of Hamburg with a bachelor's degree and is currently in the advanced master’s course.
In addition to numerous contributions in various bands, ensembles and orchestras, he played percussion as a second line-up in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Liebe Nie - Phantom 2" and currently with "Hinterm Horizont" in Hamburg.
In addition to his work as a musician and teacher, he composed numerous pieces, for example the film music for a one-hour NDR documentary about Hamburg and for commercials.
In February 2015 the world premiere of his composition Treuma took place with the school music orchestra of the HfMT Hamburg under their own direction.
